The Trump name is rather an iconic one; it all started when Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump, was developing large housing complexes in New York City, which he catered to middle-income soldiers that returned from World War 2. When Donald was a teenager, he learned many secrets from his father on how to become a businessman. When Donald Trump finished college to work full time with his father, he used his father’s tricks and tips to gain a fortune. Not a huge surprise that his net worth is now way over $3 billion!
Before and during his job as the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has done and owned things most of us can hardly imagine, let alone afford.
Below are 15 surprising facts about the Trump Family proving that it leads an even more extravagant life than we could suspect!
1. Trump Winery
The Trump Winery, which is formerly known as the Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard, is located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The winery was bought out by Donald Trump in April 2011 at the price of more than $8 million and was officially open for business in October 2011. The size of the land is around 227 acres — the largest vineyard in Virginia. It is now run by Trump’s son Eric, under the business name Eric Trump Wine Manufacturing LLC. The winery produces at least 36,000 cases of wine annually. The winery is now worth more than $200 million.
2. Seven Springs Estate
The Seven Springs is an opulent Westchester mansion that was built in 1919 by Eugene Meyer who is also famous for being the first president of the World Bank and a publisher for the Washington Post. The mansion has a total of 60 rooms, two servant wings, three large swimming pools, and 15 bedrooms.
Donald Trump purchased the Seven Springs mansion for $7.5 million around two decades ago. Although Trump initially planned to turn the Seven Springs into a golf course, he instead kept the place as a resort for families to stay in within its 50,000-square-foot home. Trump usually spends his time in the Seven Springs as his retreat where he enjoys his private pools, hiking, ATV riding, and fishing.
