These identical twin sisters were part of a rather controversial scientific experiment. They were separated at birth when their mentally unstable mother put them up for adoption at birth. A well-sought psychologist decided to send the twins to different homes so that he could study the effects of nature versus nurture on them. When New York made it mandatory for adoption agencies to keep identical twins together, the psychologist thought better and decided that continuing with his experiment might end up in n uncalled for controversy. The sisters met each other again after 35 years of separation after learning the truth. They even penned down a book together that described their similarities despite being away from each other for so long.
