11. All Avocados Are Picked by hand.

Avocardo’s are one of the only fruits yet to be automated in this day and age. Every single one is hand picked by workers in the avocado industry. The avocado trees grow to a great height and make it very difficult to pick them when the avocado’s are ripe. The workers need to use a long pole with a pouch and a clipper to snip the fruit from its branch. This makes the job incredibly intensive and costs a lot for the companies to employ these people.
