Using Cardboard as Seed Tubes
Another simple method of starting your seeds involves the use of toilet paper tubes and those of your paper towels. Cut these into two-inch lengths. You then need to put them in waterproof trays. When this is done you can fill each tube with some soil and go ahead with the planting. Once your seedlings have become mature enough to be moved outdoors to your garden don’t remove them from the cardboard tubes. Instead, plant them when they are still inside ensuring you place each cardboard tube deep under the surface of the soil. This helps to keep the moisture in the roots.
