11. Hylophobia
Hylophobia is the fear of forests.
It is often the result of a traumatic experience, such as being beaten with a piece of wood or attacked in a forest. Other causes of this phobia include getting lost in a forest, getting attacked by creatures, worrying about trees falling onto you or watching someone get injured or killed in a forest (even in a movie). People affected by hylophobia avoid going to forests; more severe sufferers avoid living near forests.
If the sufferer encounters a forest, he or she could experience dread, slow breathing, heart palpitations, trembling and obsessive thoughts, especially about death.
