10. Ronald McDonald’s Alias in Japan

We all know the McDonalds’ character Ronald McDonald, right? The friendly-faced clown is another iconic brand image for the chain. Well, since the Japanese language does not have a clear ‘R’ sound, Ronald got a slight name change, to suit this Asian culture and his passport reads Donald McDonald. Not exactly lost in translation, but certainly somewhat altered.
