The Legendary Mullet Era

If there’s one image that perfectly captures Peter Dinklage’s high school years, it’s the mullet. Business in the front, party in the back and by all accounts, he wore it with absolute conviction. The hairstyle has since become a point of nostalgic amusement, but back then, it was simply what a theater kid in 1980s New Jersey looked like.
Even if Peter felt different because of his size, he didn’t show it. Lopez said he blended seamlessly into the theater crowd, sharing in the typical and sometimes hilarious mishaps of adolescent drama productions. He was simply another member of the group, no special treatment required or desired.
