13. The call
After regaining consciousness, Robert called his wife and congratulated her on bearing triplets. They talked a bit about the new challenges they would have to face but undeniably overcome. The more he thought about it, the more he loved the idea of a seven-member Tolbert family. Later during their call, he admitted that he thought Nia had finally gotten him a Fitbit after he had been leaving subtle hints about wanting one.
14. Zuri, Bailey, and Mackenzie Tolbert
After months of preparation and the gender reveal (daughters!), Nia’s due date was rapidly approaching. On January 30, 2018, six weeks before her due date, Nia gave birth to her triplet daughters via C-section. Once again, Robert could breathe after learning that his daughters and wife made it out of the operating room in perfect health, despite giving birth much earlier than planned. Nia and Robert named their newborn daughters Zuri, Bailey, and Mackenzie. Zuri and Bailey are identical twins while Mackenzie is fraternal.
