As with just about any type of natural substance, scientists, researchers, healthcare professionals, and chemists are always looking for ways to create a synthetic version. Truth is though, synthetic marijuana has been around for longer than most people realize. Back in 1949, Dimethylheptylpyran was a synthetic version created by the U.S. Military. A single milligram of this stuff would have effects lasting for more as long as three days. From a military standpoint, it’s not a good thing to have your soldiers incapable of performing their duties for 72 hours. On the other side of the fence though, the substance did make an excellent, non-lethal strategy for incapacitating the enemy.
